Terms of Endearment (TOE)

The written word may be mightier than the sword. Can you really catch more flies with honey than with vinegar? I don't know but it's worth a try. I just submitted the following bouquet to the editor of the Times & Transcript.

Terms of Endearment (TOE)


A very large contingent of concerned New Brunswicker taxpayers is currently seeking 8 Liberal MLAs for immediate endearment to our cause. As a successful candidate, you shall have 20/20 foresight vision, the ability to listen attentively to your constituents, understand their serious concerns, have the comprehensive skills to fully understand the MOU and its implications for the future, have a strong voice in the Legislative Assembly with regard to our opinions, and be willing to demonstrate the strength of your backbone by getting to the bottom of the MOU doo pile.

As a successful candidate, you must also understand that this acronym TOE is a misnomer in the sense that you must not toe the Liberal Party line but you shall break ranks with the Executive if necessary. An altruistic character is a prerequisite for this position.
