Thanks for the moral support!

Thanks everybody,

I wish to thank everyone who has sent me notes of encouragement this week.  I'm getting a kick out of the the online comments to my most recent letter to the editor of the Times & Transcript, "No mandate for NB Power deal; no sale!" 

At the bottom of each comment, there's a little thumbs up, thumbs down poll that you can click to increase the counter.  This poll, although not very significant, gives you an idea of how many people are really against the MOU. 

I'm still having fun with it. I saw MLAs Joan MacAlpine and Wally Stiles at the Home Depot on Monday evening. I said, "Hi Joan, how ya doin? Are you staying away from the protesters" She said, "I'm trying to, but they keep finding me." Then she turned her back and and under her breath said, "Including some that I won't even mention".

She must have read my blog article "NB Power Board Stacked". I don't think this one was published, it may have been too personal. It slammed Joan for not even having read the MOU, 32 days after it was published. As far as I'm concerned, all is fair game in war and politics.

You are absolutely correct Gary!! If you had dug a bit deeper, you would have noticed the consistency of NET Profits over the last 5 yr to the tune of about $250 million!!! Sounds like a business that is in trouble!!

Given the consistency, HQ is now going to be benefactors of these NET Profits forever, this Province will be losing all that money to a 'foreign' agency who will not spend the major part of that money back in this Province so NBers also lose the 'trickle-down' effect that promoters use when telling us how good concerts are for the community!!

TV-offers always spout "as an added bonus" if you pay before March 31, 2010 you will receive....!! For HQ's benefit they receive an added bonus, the more valuable Transmission system, to get their power to the great USA!!

This is such a good deal, NBP will even throw in 'free shipping & handling'!! We'll pay for the decommissioning of 6 fossil plants and give HQ the Carbon Credits!!

Man are we screwed!!!
